The Botanischer Garten der Universität Osnabrück (8.6 hectares), also known as the Botanischer Garten Osnabrück, is a botanical garden maintained by the University of Osnabrück. It is located at Albrechtstraße 29, Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, Germany, and open daily, except Saturdays in the colder months.
The garden was founded in 1984, and currently contains plants from the Mediterranean region, North America, Japan, and China, arranged in geographic sections, as well as collections of alpine plants of the Swabian Alps, medicinal plants, ferns, and heather. In addition it contains several greenhouses including a rainforest house (opened in 1998), collections of Brassicaceae and Salicaceae, the Loki Schmidt gene bank for wild plants, and a seed bank containing 14,000 accessions representing 1,750 species (1994 figures).
